Milwaukee fans will know by Tuesday night whether their team has won its first championship. The Brewers hold a 3-0 lead in the World Series after defeating the Tampa Bay Rays 10-1 on Monday evening. This result puts the franchise one win away from a title it has never before claimed. The next game is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Tuesday in Tampa.

Robert Gasser started the Game 3 matchup. He delivered a dominant performance that anchored the Brewers victory. The team's offense exploded in the final score, producing ten runs against one for the Rays. This margin extends their current series dominance. The Rays now face the prospect of losing their season without winning another game.

Tampa Bay earned its place in the World Series by defeating the Cleveland Guardians in the ALCS. Junior Caminero hit a home run in Game 6 of that series to secure the American League pennant. This is the Rays' third appearance in the World Series. They previously lost to the Philadelphia Phillies in 2008 and have not reached this stage since 2020. The team is seeking its first championship in franchise history.

The Brewers also lack a World Series title in their history. They reached this series by sweeping the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS. This marks their first World Series appearance since 1982. Neither team has ever lifted the trophy, which means a first-time champion will be crowned regardless of the final result. The series stands at three wins for Milwaukee and zero for Tampa Bay.

Game 1 concluded with a 3-2 win for the Brewers on Friday. Game 2 saw Milwaukee edge out Tampa Bay 5-4 on Saturday. The pattern of close early games has been replaced by a decisive victory. The Rays won the ALCS with a 4-2 record over Cleveland. They beat the Guardians in Games 2, 4, 5, and 6 of that championship series. The Guardians won Games 1 and 3.

The Brewers dominated the NLCS, winning all four games against the Dodgers. They took Game 1 by a 2-1 count and Game 2 by 7-4. Milwaukee closed the series with a 6-4 victory in Game 4. The Dodgers won only one game in the series, losing the other three. This sweep sets the stage for the current one-sided World Series lead.

The remaining World Series games are scheduled for specific dates if the series continues. Game 5 is set for Wednesday evening in Tampa. Game 6 is scheduled for Friday night in Milwaukee. Game 7 will take place on Saturday night in Milwaukee. All remaining games are slated for 8 p.m. Eastern time. These contests will be broadcast on Fox, Fox Deportes, and fubo.
