Briarcliff Entertainment's horror-comedy 'Christmas at the Kringles' opens in select theaters on Friday, October 30, placing Ron Livingston and Rachel Bilson in a quiet suburb next door to residents who keep the holiday going year-round. The Kringles are the neighbors, and the film's marketing makes clear the festivities take a turn: the couple's arrival in the neighborhood is followed by what the studio describes as a shift from merry to murder.
Livingston and Bilson play the newcomers who move to the suburbs and quickly meet the Kringles. Thomas Lennon and Arden Myrin portray Mr. and Mrs. Kringle, with Donald Faison also in the cast. Rob Riggle plays the neighborhood Santa, a part the studio describes as one who takes no prisoners.
Ahead of the release, the outlet interviewed Riggle and Bilson about the production, including the work behind the film's gore effects. The piece is set against a Christmas backdrop, and its promotional materials describe fake blood in a holiday setting.
Briarcliff Entertainment is distributing the film, which opens October 30 in select theaters. The cast also includes Donald Faison, with Rob Riggle appearing as the local Santa. The film is a horror-comedy set in a suburb where a couple meets neighbors who celebrate Christmas constantly.
