The City of Phoenix will open the application window for the 2027 Neighborhood Block Watch Grant Program on Thursday, November 5, 2026. The city states that the program aims to support local neighborhood safety initiatives through financial assistance.
Applicants must register for an account on the NBWGP Grants Management System portal before submitting their proposals. The city warns that the portal will stop accepting new submissions at 4:00 p.m. Arizona time on Thursday, December 10, 2026. No extensions or late entries will be processed after that cutoff.
To help applicants prepare, NBWGP staff will host a series of training workshops in both in-person and virtual formats. In-person sessions are scheduled for November 12 and December 1 at the Devonshire Senior Center, located at 2802 E Devonshire Ave. Each day offers a morning session from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and an evening session from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Virtual workshops will be available via web conference on November 10, November 18, December 3, and December 9. These online sessions include a morning block from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and an afternoon block from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Participants can join by clicking the specific link provided for their chosen time slot.
Prospective applicants with questions should contact NBWGP staff at nbwgrants.ppd@phoenix.gov. The city also lists related forms and neighborhood service listings for those seeking additional information about the program.
