Eugene Asiedu, 36, stands accused of attempted murder and possession of a bladed article following a violent incident at a shopping center in north London.

Asiedu, a resident of Lewisham, was arrested on Sunday and formally charged on Monday. His arrest follows an investigation into events that unfolded at Angel Central on Parkfield Street. The specific timing of the initial contact was recorded at 10:25 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27. Police confirmed that Asiedu is currently charged only in relation to the stabbing portion of the incident.

Three men sustained injuries during the disturbance. A 33-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound, and medical staff assessed his condition as life-changing. A 27-year-old man also suffered a gunshot wound, though his injuries were described as non-life-threatening. Both shooting victims were transported to hospital for treatment.

A third individual, a 36-year-old man, was stabbed during the same timeframe. His injuries were classified as neither life-threatening nor life-changing. Despite the severity of the events, no arrests have yet been made specifically in connection with the two shootings. The Metropolitan Police stated that their investigation into the gunfire remains active.

The violence occurred while rapper Catch from South London performed at the adjacent O2 Arena. Witnesses reported that gunshots caused shoppers to flee. Security personnel locked gig-goers inside the venue while armed police responded to the scene. One attendee noted that the band stopped mid-song and returned to the stage to announce the lockdown. They performed an additional song while waiting for updates. Venue staff told patrons that an altercation was taking place outside and that they were being kept inside for safety.

The Metropolitan Police released a statement detailing the sequence of events on Parkfield Street. London Ambulance Service attended the scene and transported both gunshot victims to care. The police department continues to seek witnesses and has asked the public to contact them on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if they have information.
